2014 was a record breaking year for Luton Airport with passenger umbers increasing by a huge 8% when comparing it with 2014. Over 10 million passengers travelled through Luton Airport making it one of the leading airports in the UK.
Management have worked on increasing passenger numbers with 15 new destinations added to the range of locations already offered. Plans are afoot to increase passenger numbers again from 10 million up to an ambitious 18 million by the year 2026. With spare capacity at the main London Airports at an all-time low, Luton Airport is ideally placed to grow passenger numbers from the South East
There are plans to re design the terminal building with the addition of new shopping areas and food outlets. Improvements are to be made to transport facilities including the parking facilities. A new and improved executive lounge is also planned.
All of the planned changes and improvements will help establish the airport as leading airfield in the UK and Europe.
